How to Stake IOTA using Ledger Live Desktop app

Introduction:

In this guide, we’ll show you how to delegate your IOTA tokens with your Ledger Hardware wallet via the Ledger Live Desktop App.

*Before we begin please ensure your Ledger hardware wallet is plugged in

Step 1 — Installing IOTA Rebased App on Ledger

• Unlock your Ledger device. Open Ledger Live and navigate to My Ledger in the left panel.

• In the App Catalog search for IOTA.

• Click Install to download the IOTA Rebased app to your device.

• Your device will show the installation progress.

Step 2 — Installing IOTA Wallet Extension

• Visit your browser’s extension tab search for IOTA Wallet and add the extension to your browser

Step 3 — Connecting Ledger

• Select IOTA in Ledger and open the IOTA Wallet extension in your browser

• Click on Add Profile and select import from Ledger.

• Select the connected Ledger device and click Connect.

• Select the wallet that contains IOTA tokens and click Next.

• Set a strong password for your wallet and click Create Wallet.

Step 4 — Enabling blind signing on your Ledger device

• Select IOTA on your Ledger device and navigate to Settings.

• Select Blind signing and enable it.

Step 5 — Staking IOTA

• Select the wallet.

• Click on Start Staking.

• Select Luganodes as validator and click Next.

• Enter the amount and click on Stake.

• Sign the transaction on your Ledger device.

Congratulations, you have successfully staked your IOTA tokens.
